  • Modi first visits Rajghat to pay homage to Mahatama Gandhi.
  • Then he was received by Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar following which he proceeded to inspect the Guard of Honour.
  • PM Modi then walked towards the Lahori Gate to unfurl the national flag from the ramparts of the Red Fort.
  • He wished all the Indians Happy Independence Day.

  • I will continue to strive hard to ensure that the this inflation doesn’t affect the food plate of poor.

  • Many innocents were killed in Peshawar terrorist attack (Pakistan), but there were tears in everyone’s eyes in Parliament here.
  • This country will never bend before terrorism.
  • People of Balochistan,Gilgit and PoK have thanked me a lot in past few days, I am grateful to them.
  • When disease hits a poor family, their lives are destroyed. So we have decided that the government will take up the expenses of up to Rs. 1 lakh so that the poor family can avail of medical facilities.
  • We did not get an opportunity to die for the country but we have the opportunity to live for the country.
  • To the youth who have taken up gun, I urge them to return to their parents, shun violence.
