Kohli scores second Test double-centuryIndore: Indian Test captain Virat Kohli celebrates his century on the first day of the third Test match against New Zealand in Indore on Saturday.

Virat Kohli recorded his second double-century on the second day of the third Test against New Zealand in Indore on Sunday, guiding India to 446/3. Kohli, who scored his maiden double-ton against West Indies earlier this year, is the first Indian captain in Test history to have crossed the milestone twice.

Together with Ajinkya Rahane (159*), he has deflated the New Zealand bowlers as India aim for a win at Holkar Stadium which will hand them the series 3-0.

For the first time in Tests, Ajinkya Rahane has crossed 150 runs. He reached the milestone with a chip over cover region for a four – his 14th of the innings.

For the first time in the ongoing series, a team has crossed 400 runs in an innings and it’s India who have made the breach. The fourth wicket stand between Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane has swelled to 300 runs now which is also the second highest for any wicket for India against New Zealand in Tests. The 22,526 strong crowd at Holkar is getting full value of their money.
