Tamil Nadu: Various organizations are working to make Erode green. Olirum Erodu Foundation-JCI Green City combine, Aram Sei and Erode Siragugal are the main organisations involved in the planting of saplings. There are also a number of smaller organisations carrying out area-specific greenery work.

About 15,000 saplings were estimated to have been planted by all the large and small organisations during 2015.

B. Chandrasekaran, chief executive officer of OEF said that a coordinated approach is expected to pave way for better planning.
