New Delhi: Manoj Bajpayee is confident that after the release of his upcoming sports drama film, ‘Budhia Singh- Born To Run’ the real life Budhia Singh will come closer to his dream of representing India at Olympics, when he turns 18. ‘Budhia Singh – Born To Run’ is a biographical film on a kid who ran 48 marathons when he was a five-year-old. The filmmakers revealed that the real Budhia Singh, who is 14 year old now, will come in front of the media before the final release of the film. ‘Budhia Singh – Born To Run’ has won the National Film Award for Best Children’s Film in 2016.
The film explores the relationship between Budhia (Mayur Patole) and his judo coach, Biranchi Das (Manoj Bajpayee). The film, produced by Viacom18 Motion Pictures that produced biopics Bhaag Milkha Bhaag , Mary Kom and Manjhi: The Mountain Man is slated to release on August 5.
At the launch, Manoj Bajpayee said that he used to teach theatre to children in schools, which was quite demanding. So that experience helped him in the movie. To train a five-year-old was difficult and to give him one direction was challenging for him. Manoj Bajpayee has always maintained distance from Mayur and the other children because he wanted them to feel that he was the coach.
