New Delhi: Rahul Gandhi has earlier remarked that Gandhiji was shot dead by RSS people and their people talk of Gandhiji. He was sued for defamation over his comment blaming the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh(RSS) for Mahatma Gandhi’s assassination.
The Supreme Court said: “You can’t make collective denunciations.”
Mr Gandhi, 45, had refused the court’s suggestion last year that he apologise and settle the case. The court today made it clear that the Congress vice president Mr Rahul Gandhi may face trial and announced a hearing on July 27.

The Congress’s chief spokesman Randeep Surjewala said on Tuesday said that Rahul Gandhi will not apologize over his on RSS. He will produce historical facts and evidence before the court to support his claim.
