Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal turns 48 today. He was wished today for his birthday by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was recently described by the Delhi politician as “capable of having me eliminated.”

PM Modi tweeted, “Birthday greetings to Delhi CM @ArvindKejriwal. I pray for his long life and good health. In response Kejriwal tweeted Thank u so much sir.

Yesterday, he was seen sleeping during the PM’s speech at Red Fort; his Aam Aadmi Party or AAP said that’s because the PM should “get Olympic gold” for a “boring speech”

About Arvind Kejriwal:

Born on August 16 in the year 1968 at Bhiwani in Haryana, Arvind Kejriwal is the current Chief Minister of Delhi. His party named Aam Aadmi Party, won the Delhi assembly elections in 2015 by securing a clear majority of 67 out of 70 seats. The former Indian Revenue Service officer, had launched AAP in 2012, and he was known for the key role in drafting the Jan Lokpal Bill.

Kejriwal first became the CM of Delhi on 28 December 2013 after AAP formed the government with Congress’s support, but his tenure lasted for only 49 days. He resigned from the post after both BJP and Congress turned against clearance to AAP’s Jan Lokpal Bill. Kejriwal won the 2006 Ramson Magasaysay Award for Emergent Leadership for his contribution to empower the poorest at the grassroots level and implement the Right to Information Act (RTI). He was the brain behind a corpus fund which he created with his money from the award and also in the same year founded the NGO ‘Public Cause Research Foundation’.
