Television fame former Angoori Bhabhi Shilpa Shinde has decided to do a makeover and go all glam for a special song in an upcoming film. The actress had a major fallout with the producers resulting her quitting her successful show Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hain. Shilpa is trying to break away from her image of a saree-clad daughter-in-law, and do an item song in a Bollywood film.

Shilpa will soon be seen shaking a leg with Rishi Kapoor and Vir Das in the film titled Patel Ki Panjabbi Shaadi. According to buzz, it is a celebratory song and appears during an engagement scene in the film.

The film is a cross-cultural comedy. While Rishi Kapoor plays a Punjabi man, actor Paresh Rawal will play a Gujarati. It is directed by Sanjay Chhel.

Shilpa is also excited about her Bollywood break and the fact that she is sharing screen with Rishi Kapoor and Paresh Rawal. She revealed, “It was the film’s last schedule and I didn’t want to lose out on the song. Rishi Kapoor had heard about me leaving the show and pointed out that I should not have got off a chalti gaadi, we are artistes. I told him, aag lagi aur mujhe koodna pada. Even Pareshji admitted that his wife (Swaroop Sampat) used to watch my show.”
