Story Plot: Hrithik Roshan, who was last seen in his movie Bang Bang on Oct. 2, 2014 is now back with Mohenjo Daro. Directed by Ashutosh Gowarikar, Mohenjo Daro is a story about a young orphaned child(played by Hrithik Roshan) , who resides with his uncle close to the areas of Mohenjo Daro.One day he sees a girl(played by Pooja Hegde) and they fall in love. She turns out to be the daughter of Kabir Bedi, who was responsible for the death of Hrithik’s father. The love story then turns into a revenge drama.
Hrithik Roshan play the role of an indigo farmer from Amri, Sindh named “Sarman” travels upriver to the largest city, Mohenjo-daro, Pooja Hegde playing role of “Chaani” in his debut film.Sarman (Hrithik) during a street mishap he saves the life of a beautiful woman named Chaani who as “The Chosen One” in service to Sindhu Ma, the goddess of the river which is the centre of their culture, is “the symbol of Mother Sindhu’s grace and blessing. But Sarman soon falls afoul of the politician Maham (Kabir Bedi) and his son Moonja (Arunoday Singh) who are seizing power and starting to rule Mohenjo Daro as an empire.To win Chaani, Sarman must defeat Maham and rouse the people to save their city.
Hrithik, the actor with the looks of a Greek god has delivered an excellent performance in “Mohenjo Daro”. He has again impressed the audience with his powerful stunts. Even Pooja Hegde is superb. She is making her debut in Bollywood, has done justice to her role. Kabir Bedi is excellent in negative role. All the supporting actors have given good performance.
The dialogues are amazing and music by A. R. Rahman with song lyrics penned by Javed Akhtar are good.
Verdict: Mohenjo Daro is a must watch. Hrithik fans will not be disappointed. He is back with a bang after Bang Bang in Mohenjo Daro. The picturisation of movie will keep you mesmerized. Thumbs up to Ashutosh Gowarikar for giving such an epic movie.
