Panipat: On Wednesday, Indian wrestler Great Khali won the fight against three international wrestlers, in the Continental Wrestling Entertainment (CWE).
After leaving WWE, Khali had started his own professional wrestling promotion here in India in 2015. The first two events took place at Haldwani and Dehradun on 24 & 28 February 2016 respectively.
Earlier this week, we’d reported how the famous American wrestler, Brody Steele had stormed into the Great Khali’s Academy in Jalandhar, causing ample destruction to the property. The incident took place in the light of the cancellation of a match that was to be held in Gurgaon. The wrestlers also manhandled academy’s wrestlers.
As a result of the same, Khali took matters into his own hands and decided to seek revenge. Making way to Panipat’s hotel where American wrestler Brody Steele and team were residing, Khali stormed into their room with a metal pipe, intending to cause injury to the trouble makers. Post the incident, Brody Steele and team threatened the Great Khali.
The event would witness a match between 14 International wrestlers, including 4 female wrestlers. Several of Khali’s students from his CWE Academy would also be participating in the event.
