Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat and her French boyfriend were both reportedly tear gassed and beaten up by masked robbers on November 11 in her Paris apartment block.

The Murder actress opened about the robbery ordeal in a recent interview to a daily and also posted a message on her Instagram account which read: “It takes more than 3 masked men to take me down, I am a strong woman.”

She was attacked from behind by three men who sprayed teargas at her and her French friend, Cyrille Auxenfans, in the hallway of his apartment building as they arrived home.

They pushed the actress to the ground, then started hitting Auxenfans and tried to grab her bag.

“He was hurt a little bit. We both fought them off. I’m not going to let this change my life at all,” she told. The attackers, who wore scarves over their faces, fled empty-handed from the building.

Last month, American model and reality TV star Kim Kardashian was also robbed in Paris of jewelry worth millions of pounds.
