The preliminary rituals have already begun and are being performed on a grand set which replicates the ancient city of Hampi of the Vijayanagara empire.

As a part of the four-day ritual, Reddy and family landed at the venue at Palace grounds in Bangaluru in a special chartered plane decked in finery.

As many as eight priests from the famous Tirupati Thirumala temple have been brought in to perform the rituals. As part of the set for the wedding, the iconic monuments of Hampi, Cowl bazaar, a village in Bellary and the school in which Reddy studied has been recreated. In the 36-acre space, sets representing bungalows for the bride and the groom have been recreated.

The guests, especially the VVIPs, will be ferried from the entrance to the mandap area on cushioned bullock carts.
