The OnePlus 3 is currently priced at Rs 27,999. However, under Flipkart’s upcoming holiday season sales, the smartphone will be available for Rs 1_,999. The teaser image which is currently live on Flipkart further mentions that it will be available in limited quantities and only soft gold color variant of the OnePlus 3 will be on offer. Upon clicking the teaser image, it currently leads you to the product’s page where it is listed as ‘Coming Soon.’

This comes as a big surprise, considering the Chinese brand exclusively sells its smartphones via Amazon India in the country. OnePlus Co-Founder Carl Pei expressed his surprise as well, in a tweet questioning how Flipkart is planning on selling the smartphone.

As we mentioned, the OnePlus 3 sale on Flipkart was, in fact, a surprise for OnePlus Co-Founder Carl Pei too, who tweeted to the Indian e-commerce company’s Executive Chairman and Co-Founder Sachin Bansal, saying “What’s this? We’re exclusive with Amazon.”

The OnePlus 3, which was launched earlier this year, features a 5.5-inch full HD (1080p) display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor paired with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. It also sports a 16-megapixel rear camera of aperture f/2.0 with PDAF and OIS along with and an 8-megapixel camera up front. Connectivity options include dual-SIM support, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, GPS, and Bluetooth. On the software runs on Android Marshmallow 6.1 OxygenOS. It draws its juice from a 3,000mAh battery. It also comes with a fingerprint scanner which is embedded in the home button.
