The Kapil Sharma Show got into trouble two months ago post the leading comedian’s fight with Sunil Grover on a Melbourne-Mumbai flight. This made the rest of the cast – Ali Asgar (Nani), Chandan Prabhakar (Chandu) and Sugandha Mishra (Vidyavati) – quit the show in solidarity. A dip in the TRPs was, hence, quite natural.

According to reports, the channel had given a month’s notice to the ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ team to put their act together. As reported by TOI.com earlier, ‘Dus Ka Dum’, which was reportedly supposed to replace Kapil’s show, has been postponed due to Salman Khan’s busy schedule.

Salman has started shooting for Tiger Zinda Hai, starring Katrina Kaif. So, ‘Dus Ka Dum’ has been shifted to early next year. Thus, giving more time to ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ to redeem itself.

After Sunil’s exit, the show now sees new artists such as Raju Srivastava, Ehsaan Qureshi, Monica Castellino and Supriya Shukla.

While it continues to be debatable if the show will be taken off air or not, the fact that the it has made its way back to the Top 10 recently, does come as a sigh of relief to the makers.
