Kumkum Bhagya had a major twist in the show where the main character, Pragya, was killed. But the makers did show Abhi – Pragya’s marriage and that he regained his memory before she was shot dead. The twist here is that there is a doppelganger of Pragya called Munni, who lives in a village. Now Munni will obviously enter Abhi’s life and create a lo of chaos. Eventually, Abhi might even end up marrying Munni. But someone is terribly missing Pragya and it’s not Abhi. Sriti Jha confessed in a statement that she started missing Pragya that second she was shot.

She said, “Kumkum Bhagya is so close to my heart. I started missing Pragya the moment I shot the death scene. I am extremely nervous about playing Munni. It’s a fun opportunity. I hope we, as a team, are able to bring alive the character convincingly and continue to entertain our audiences.” Munni is an orphan who used to live with her sister and sister’s husband but they died in a road accident. Hence, Munni takes up the responsibility of raising her sister’s two kids. The character is fun and talkative with funny one liners. Aaliya and Tanu try to bring Munni into Abhi’s life as Pragya but their plan backfires.

Munni learns that Abhi is dedicating a part of his earnings from a concert to educating girls. Munni feels bad for him, since such a nice guy is surrounded by enemies from his own family (Aaliya and Tanu). She decides to reach the concert and expose Aaliya and tell him that she was being paid a lump-sum amount of money to pose as Pragya in his life. Though she reaches concert, she is not able to get in touch with Abhi easily. However, Abhi spots her and tells Purab about it, who refuses to believe him.

It’s going to be damn interesting to see how Abhi and Munni’s love story will take off. It’s also going to be a laughter riot for the audience as well, since Munni is a lively and chirpy character.
