Separate rank lists
Diploma CET 2017 was conducted on July 2nd which was attended by over 25 thousand aspirants.
Earlier on July 13, Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) had released the provisional answer keys of DCET 2017 and asked the candidates to submit their representations. KEA will publish the final answer keys along with DCET 2017 result today.
KEA had conducted Diploma CET 2017 for regulating admissions to Engineering and Architecture courses. The DCET qualified candidates will be eligible for admissions to 2nd year/ 3rd semester B.E. course and to 1st year/ 1st semester B.Arch course under Lateral Entry Scheme depending on the other eligibility conditions.
KEA will also publish the merit list/ rank list for admission to these courses being offered in Day and Evening Engineering Colleges. All the official announcements can be checked at kea.kar.nic.in.
KEA will prepare the DCET rank list (for Engineering) by taking the marks obtained by candidates in DCET and marks obtained in the final year (5th & 6th semester) of qualifying exam in equal proportion.
Meanwhile, for Architecture course, the merit list will be determined on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in qualifying exam in all subjects and valid NATA score taken in equal proportions. The candidates will be awarded ranks for admission to B.E./ B.Arch courses separately for Day Engineering College courses and Evening Engineering College courses (Bangalore and Mysore).
DCET 2017 result has been delayed by around 10 days this time, probably due to the other activities of the Authority. KEA had conducted Diploma CET in 2016 on 3rd July, while the results were announced in 9 days time, i.e. on July 12. This year, the CET was conducted on 2nd July, but the delay in publication of provisional answer keys further pushed back the results. KEA had released the provisional answer keys on July 13 and the last date for submitting the objections was July 17.
