Ganesh Chaturthi, also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi, marks Lord Ganesha’s birthday, and celebrates him as the god of good beginnings and prosperity. The celebrations include installing Ganesha clay idols at homes, decorating the spaces, and distributing sweets such as modaks.

Here are five easy tips to add to your Ganesh Chaturthi decor:

1. Accessories
There is no better way to quickly revamp your home than accessorising the space. This can include different artefacts, cushion covers, ceramic vases and scented candles.
Metal, wooden and ceramic artefacts add character to any space. Metal adds stability and wood brings in naturalness.

Neon cushion add a burst of colour. Colours such as red and orange, symbolise the festive mood.

Floating or stand-alone scented candles (Lavender and rose are excellent scented candles works well.
