Huawei under its sub-brand Honor is working on a mid-range smartphone dubbed as the Honor 6C . The alleged smartphone has reportedly leaked in images and it is expect to go official in China soon. There is no word on the smartphone coming to India, but a launch can be expect to follow after the smartphone is release in China.
Honor 6C and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A
According to GizmoChina, the Honor 6C surfaced on Weibo revealing key details. From the images, similarities between the Honor 6C and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A have started to be drawn. If images of the purported Honor 6C are anything to go by, the front panel of the smartphone does look identical to Redmi Note 5A, unveiled earlier this month in China. The Honor 6C has thick bezels at the top and bottom of the display, which runs thin across the sides. The metal-unibody designed smartphone has the fingerprint sensor mounted beneath the rear camera.
Since the Honor 6C first made official alongside Honor 8 Pro in April this year in the European market, specifications and features of the smartphone are already out in open. The Honor 6C currently retails for Euro 229 (approximately Rs 17,000). In comparison, the Redmi Note 5A released in China priced at RMB 699 (Rs 7,000).
The smartphone comes with a 5-inch HD (720p) display with 2.5D curved glass display on the top. It is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor clocked at 1.4 GHz, aided by a 3GB RAM. It comes with 32GB of internal storage that can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. In terms of optics, the Honor 6C is equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash light. Upfront, it has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies. For connectivity, the smartphone supports 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi, GPS and micro USB port. The Android 6.0 Marshmallow based Honor 6C runs custom OS EMUI 4.1 and packs a 3020mAh battery.
