Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday sacked his women and child development and social welfare minister, Sandeep Kumar, after receiving an “objectionable CD” of him. Kejriwal announced the decision on Twitter.

Sources said that a CD submitted to Kejriwal apparently showed the minister in a compromising position with two women. It also had some objectionable still photographs.

A complaint by an unknown person was also submitted to Kejriwal, along with the CD. Kumar was one of the six cabinet ministers of Delhi and the third to be removed from the portfolio. Each minister holds multiple portfolios.

In October last year, Kejriwal had sacked Asim Ahmed Khan, 38, who was minister for food and environment on graft charges.

In June 2015, Jitender Tomar resigned as law minister over faking his college degree. He was replaced by Kapil Mishra, who, within two months, was replaced as law minister by deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia.

Last month, Kejriwal had aborted a scheme implemented by Kumar to remove beggars from Delhi’s roads. The decision to remove the 36-year-old Kumar was taken at a high-level meeting attended by top AAP leaders.

“Received ‘objectionable’ CD of minister Sandeep Kr. AAP stands for propriety in public life. That can’t be compromised. Removing him from cabinet wid immediate effect,” Kejriwal tweeted.

“The CD came to us half-an-hour back. We saw the CD and took the decision to sack him immediately. AAP has zero tolerance for crime and corrupt

ion,” Sisodia told reporters on Thursday night.

Kumar represents the Sultanpur Majra constituency. He is the second AAP minister to be sacked after Khan, who was minister for food and supplies.

“We will not tolerate such acts. We have 67 MLAs. If anyone, including the chief minister, is found involved in any wrongdoing, immediate action will be taken as AAP is different from other parties,” said Sisodia.

Reacting to the development, the Delhi BJP said Kejriwal must resign accepting moral responsibility for picking up the morally corrupt MLA in the cabinet.
