Chattisgarh govt announces implementation of Seventh Pay CommissionChattisgarh govt announces implementation of Seventh Pay Commission
The implementation of the Seventh Pay Commission has been announced for state government employees in Chattisgarh. The announcement of the seventh pay commission was made by Chief Minister of Chattisgarh, Raman Singh.

The move by the Chattisgarh government is expected to benefit 2.5 lakh state government employees. Chattisgarh is one of the few states which has successfully implemented the recommenations of the 7th Central Pay Commission.

This issue has been a bone of contention in both the state and central level. Several employees have threatened to go on strike as many states have not yet implemented the seventh pay commission recommendations. The primary concern raised has been the revision of the House Rent Allowance. The 7th pay commission had recommended that the HRA be revised to 27 per cent.
