Kashmir latest news: A massive encounter is underway in Saimu Tral sector of Jammu and Kashmir, as security forces are trying to smoke terrorists out from their hideouts.

The encounter started at Tral area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on late Friday evening. According to police sources, terrorists reportedly opened fire at a patrol party of the 42 Rashtriya Rifles at Saimu village. After carrying out the attack, terrorists managed to flee from the sight.

However, additional reinforcement of Para commandos, Special Operation Group and CRPF assisted the army in conducting the combing operation in the area.
After conducting searches, the joint team of forces intercepted the terrorist group and engaged them in a gun fight.

Clashes have also erupted between security forces and protesters near the encounter site in Tral. Top Hizbul commander Sabzar is trapped.

Sources in Army said that two terrorists are dead. The terrorists in the house are believed to be from terror outfit Hizbul Mujahideen.
