Made with a whopping budget of Rs 400 cr, 2.0 is reportedly the second most expensive film in Asia. The film made using the latest technology that enables to scenes directly in 3D. Shankar known for his extravagant vision and for the film he has teamed up with ace cinematographer Nirav Shah. The movieis heavy on VFX and the shoot for a song sequence has begun on Wednesday.

Besides all other aspects, one of the biggest reasons that the movie has been grabbing eyeballs is because of its star cast comprising of superstar Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson.

Enthiran 2010

2.0 is the sequel to Shankar’s 2010 film Enthiran (Robot in Hindi). While it assumed that the superstar will reprise his role as Vaseegaran and Chitti, there have been speculations that the story of 2.0 is not the continuation of Enthiran.

2.0 will also mark Bollywood star Akshay Kumar’s entry into Kollywood. Not to forget about his fierce look, the actor plays the antagonist in the movie and it said that his role is powerful and interesting.
