Wedding announcement
It came as sources close to the couple said Meghan, 36, has given the seal of approval by Her Majesty, as well as Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall.
Harry’s dad and step-mum reportedly described her as a “very nice girl and very pleasant”.
And now its claimed the couple has already set a date for their big day.
A royal insider has reportedly said they are eyeing a summer 2018 wedding – meaning they would tie the knot after just over two years of dating.
The source told Vanity Fair: “William and Kate are expecting their third baby mid-April, and Harry won’t want to overshadow the birth of another prince or princess, and, of course, the Duchess will need some time to recover before she is at such a high-profile event.
“The most likely date is early summer 2018, which neatly ties in with Harry and Meghan’s second anniversary.“
They added: “While Meghan may not be wearing a ring or a formal engagement announced, it’s fair to say they’re as good as engaged now.
“They’ve spoken about their marriage plans openly with each other and friends and family around them are pretty much thinking about.”
