Rahul Gandhi Gandhinagar visit: Congress VP says Gujarat is ‘priceless’,never be bought

Gujarat is pricelessGujarat is priceless

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi is on a visit to poll-bound Gujarat today (October 23) to take part in ‘Navsarjan Janadesh Mahasammelan’ in Gandhinagar. With the battle for the state approaching, the ‘word-war’ between the two major rivals-BJP and Congress has intensified and both the parties are trying to woo other political forces as well as voters.

Gujarat Visit

In his latest remark, Rahul Gandhi, today, said, “Gujarat is priceless. It has never been bought,It can never be bought. It will neverbe bought,” as per an ANI tweet. The major highlight of this Gujarat visit of Rahul Gandhi is that he is likely to meet Patidar leader Hardik Patel, as per a report by HT. Earlier, young Gujarat OBC leader Alpesh Thakore, on Saturday, had also announced that he was joining the Congress party.

Hardik Patel, who enjoys huge popularity in the state, had earlier said through a tweet, “Mujhe chunav nahin ladna aur chunav ladne mein hamaara swarth bhi nahin hai. Hame adhikaar chahiye aur nyay, hum ahankar ke saamne lad rahe hain. Jeet hamaari hogi. (I do not want to contest elections, and it is not my objective either. I want our rights and justice. We are fighting arrogance. Victory will be ours.)” It will be interesting to see if Rahul Gandhi can change Hardik’s mind about contesting elections or get him to appeal to vote for Congress.
